Booker is a second phone line with an assistant on it. You keep your own number for family and close friends. You give the Booker line to the rest of life: contractors, landlords, schools, delivery drivers, recruiters, and the businesses you deal with.

When someone calls that line, Booker answers, says that it is an automated assistant, finds out who is calling and why, and writes it down. When you open the app, the call, the message, and the transcript are already in one place, sorted by the person they came from.

What Booker does

Booker answers incoming calls and takes a message. It transcribes and summarises each call. It receives and sends text messages on your behalf when you ask it to. It groups every call, message, and transcript from the same person into one conversation, so you are not searching several apps for one thread.

You can also ask Booker to get something done — find a plumber, book a table, chase a delivery. Booker contacts the business, gathers the details, and comes back to you with the options. Booker never makes a payment on your behalf. Payment is always a decision you make yourself.

How messaging works

Booker sends text messages only in connection with your own requests and the conversations you are part of. We do not send marketing text messages, and we do not send messages to people who have not been contacted as part of a task you asked for.

• Consent. You give consent during sign-up by ticking a box that is unchecked by default and separate from our Terms — agreeing to the Terms does not by itself consent to messages. The exact opt-in flow and its wording are published at ziahamza.com/booker/sms-consent. Messages are sent from +1 855 774 2521 and +1 669 690 3281. People your assistant contacts are told, on first contact, that they are speaking with an automated assistant acting for you.
• Message frequency. Message frequency varies and depends on the conversations you are having.
• Cost. Message and data rates may apply.
• Stopping messages. Reply STOP at any time to stop messages. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@ziahamza.com.
• Your data. We do not sell your personal information. Mobile information and consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

Calls and recording

Booker states that it is an automated assistant at the start of a call. Where a call is recorded or transcribed, the notice is given on the call. Recordings and transcripts are kept so you can read what was said and check it yourself.
